The amount of vocabulary that students need to master to speak English well is huge, so what kinds of activities can we do in our classes that will help students achieve their lexical goals? In this talk, we will look at seven practical activities that teachers can easily implement in their classes. More importantly perhaps, we will look at why these particular activities are effective in helping our students increase their vocabulary. What characteristics might make one activity potentially more effective than another?
