A number of powerful tools exist that can help optimize the selection and use of learning technologies and associated frameworks. However, at any given moment it is possible to choose to transform just about any aspect of the learning experience. How then, should one choose what changes to prioritize for the maximum beneficial impact? In this hands-on session, we will see how to use the SAMR and EdTech Quintet models to design and implement an optimization framework. In particular, we will pay attention to the specific needs of language learners, and how these needs shape the stages involved in implementation.
