When learning a language, what really matters the most in your success in your new language is your ability to use lots of vocabulary. In the past 25 years, we have learned a tremendous amount about better ways to help our learners with vocabulary in English. In today’s talk, we will talk about research-based teacher and learner responsibilities – real responsibilities, not just wishes or what if's -- when it comes to helping our students with vocabulary in English. What do teachers have to do? What do our learners have to do?
